CONDITIONS OF THE BOOKING

DEFINITIONS

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form
Hair Stylist: Becks/Rebecca Simpson
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the hair stylist for the agreed fee.
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the hair stylist for the services listed on the booking form.
The event: Relates in principal to the date whereby the event the wedding/event takes place.
The party: Additional members of the bridal party
 

SECURING THE BOOKING OF THE EVENT

A provisional booking of the event date is only reserved once the client has paid a deposit.

Bridal bookings: a booking fee deposit is required to hold the date, this is the cost of your rehearsal which is £80 and non-refundable.

After the rehearsal: 50% of the Full Payment (minus the booking fee) is required 7 days after the rehearsal, this is to cover any last minute cancellations, if this payment isn't received within 14 days, the date will be released. 

The remaining 50% of the final balance is required no later than 14 days before the big day.

** In special circumstances, discussed at the rehearsal, a FULL outstanding balance can be paid no later than 30 days before the event. This payment is non refundable in the event of cancellation**

Events from June – September: are subject to a three person minimum booking. A £60 Sur Charge for Bridal Only Bookings Apply during Peak Season (June-Sept)

Vintage styling bookings:

A 25% deposit of the overall booking cost is required to hold the date. This is non-refundable should the event be cancelled by the client.

All outstanding balances must be paid no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event via bank transfer, or, in rare cases can be settled on the day in cash, and this is to be paid at the beginning of the event.  
 

Photoshoot bookings:

A 25% deposit of the overall booking cost is required to hold the date. This is non-refundable should the event be cancelled by the client.

  • Payments are preferred via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted. In some cases cash is accepted.

  • for bridal clients: The non-refundable booking fee deposit of £80 paid by the client is taken off the overall fee.

  • for bridal clients: The hair rehearsal cost is paid before the rehearsal.

  • 7 workings days after the hair rehearsal, 50% of the final fee must be paid, this is to cover last minute cancellations and dates of work that cannot be recovered.

  • The remaining 50% is to be paid by the client no later than 14 working days before the event.

  • Failure to pay the fees within the stated times will result in the event being released.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT

The client shall inform the hair stylist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The hair stylist cannot be held liable for any losses or responsible for any injuries or allergic reactions that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any known condition.

The hair stylist shall inform the client to any changes to their bookings, for example. should an '“act of god” or “health risk” arise, then the hair stylist may reschedule or cancel a booking. Should the cancellation need to happen for safety or health reasons, and a suitable replacement hair stylist can’t be found to cover the booking, then all monies paid will be returned. This would only happen in extreme cases, e.g something like the Corona Virus.

The hair stylist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.The hair stylist has the right to turn down on the day additional bridal party members if it is not feasible to complete the entire party in time.

CANCELLATIONS or rescheduling

  • If after the hair rehearsal the client is wanting to cancel the booking, all payments made upto that point are non-refundable.

  • After the rehearsal, the client at any point in writing, can cancel the event/booking. All monies that have been paid to the hair stylist up to this point of notice are non-refundable. The client will not be liable for any further payments.

  • Rescheduling date fee: should a booking need to be rescheduled for any reason, then a non refundable fee of £100 is required to cover the loss of earnings for the date change. should the date need to be moved a 2nd time a £100 non refundable rescheduling fee would be required again, and will be added on each time a date is moved thereafter.

  • In extreme cases such as a global pandemic or local crisis, this fee will not apply for the first date change. If the event date needs to be rearranged a 2nd time due to a pandemic or local crisis, the £100 fee then applies.

  • ALL fees will be invited to be paid within 7 days from the last correspondence or the date will be released.

  • If the hair stylist is unavailable for your rescheduled date, then all monies paid up to that point are non-refundable, this is to cover dates of work that cannot be recovered.

  • The client can cancel a rehearsal at any point, however, a rehearsal cancelled with less then 24 hours notice will be charged a fee of £30, this will be invited to be paid before the rehearsal date or onto the final booking cost.

  • If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the hair stylist where possible, the hair stylist will endeavour to rectify such situations, however no compensation will be offered on the hair stylists part. It is strongly advised you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.

PHOTOGRAPHY

The client agrees that the hair stylist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the hair stylists website and social media pages.
 

TRAVEL EXPENSES

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the hair stylist as agreed at time of booking, this is to include should it be required, congestion charging, tolls and parking charges.

Travel is charged at 50p per mile, this starts 10 miles from the hair stylists home and includes the return journey. NO travel charges within 10 mile radius of stylists home address.

 

OVER NIGHT LOCATION EXPENSES

Should the client wish for the hair stylist to be on site the night before the event, accommodation and a meal should be provided. Costs payable to the client.
