What to Expect at Your Bridal Hair Rehearsal...

Your rehearsal is usually 2-3 months before your wedding day, by this time you would of bought your dress, and possibly a veil or head piece, and this makes putting it all together a lot easier for you to envisage.

I love hearing about your wedding day theme. The venue, flower choices, even music, all play a part in the designing of your perfect bridal look.

We take as much time as you need. I won't end the rehearsal until you are happy we have achieved your desired look. You can usually expect this to be between 2-3hrs. I think it's important to take our time, i would hate for you to feel rushed into making a decision, after all, it's not everyday you get married!

At this stage you may already know exactly what bridal style you are looking for, either way, rest assured i will help you create a style that compliments you and your whole day perfectly.

The schedule of the day will also be discussed and built, coordinating it around any other schedules you may have.

On Your Wedding Day

I will arrive in plenty of time, punctuality is key in creating a calm and stress free start to your day. I will be in touch with you the night before, wishing you well, and to double check everything, before we meet again in the morning.

Your bridal morning is as equally important as your wedding day, which is why i make it top priority for it to flow as seamlessly as possible! I understand what it's like juggling lots of different personalities in one room, which is why I also make it my job to be quietly aware of the whole room at all times, and to be on hand to address any needs that you may have at any point.

I will be with you all morning assisting to yourself and your bridal party. After everybody has changed into their formal wear I will do final finishing touches, placement of your veil (should you choose to have one) even helping Mothers of the Brides with their hats! I stay with you right up until you walk through the door to meet your handsome groom.

More FAQ's...

HOW DO I HOLD THE DATE?

A booking fee is required to hold the date, this is the cost of your rehearsal which is £80 and non-refundable.

On receipt of your booking fee we then book out your rehearsal date.

50% of the Full Payment (minus the booking fee) is required 7 days after the rehearsal, this is to cover any last minute cancellations, if this payment isn't received within 14 days, the date will be released.

The remaining 50% of the final balance is required no later than 14 days before the big day.

HOW LONG ARE YOU THERE ON THE WEDDING DAY?

On the wedding day Becks will arrive in plenty of time to set up, and then she is with you all morning styling yourself and the wedding party within the prearranged time slots. Once everybody has changed into their formal wear, Becks will still be on hand to do final touch ups to the styles and to assist with your veil (should you have one) so i will be with you right up until the moment you leave.

DO YOU DO BRIDE ONLY BOOKINGS?

Yes, however during the peak wedding season, June - September, a sur charge of £60 to Bride Only Bookings is added. This is to cover the cost of a larger party booking that would be lost.

I'M STILL SHOPPING AROUND, HOW LONG CAN YOU HOLD THE DATE FOR?

That's ok, we all need to shop around. The date is held for 10 days. You will receive an email when your provisional booking expires, and at that point should you not wish to go ahead the date will be released for another booking.

are you insured?

Yes, thairapy is fully insured for up to 3 million pounds worth of cover for public and products liability and treatment risk. Property damage is also covered. Should a venue ask for proof of insurance that's no problem, a forward attachment of the policy document will be sent to the venue. In rare cases the cover cost has had to be increased due to bespoke venues. Cover for up to 5 million can be arranged, of which, the additional costs for the insurance amendment will be added to the total bridal package.

WHEN IS IT BEST TO HAVE THE REHEARSAL?

The rehearsal is usually held 8 weeks prior to the big day. It can be slightly earlier if necessary, should you live abroad and it's the only time you can do or it's a last minute booking for example.

Usually 8 weeks is best, because if you have your rehearsal too early you quite possibly will want to change the style. By 8 weeks, you would have bought your dress and any accessories, and also decided on your wedding theme etc, this all plays a part in the hair design believe it or not :)

If you are sure you won't change your mind then we can have the rehearsal whenever you would like. Additional rehearsals are priced at £40 per hour.

where are the rehearsals held?

The rehearsals are held at the stylists home address in Cambridgeshire. Address given on receipt of your deposit.

If you prefer, Becks can happily come to your desired location for your rehearsal, travel costs will be added accordingly and discussed at the booking stage.

CAN I PAY CASH ON THE DAY?

Bank transfers are preferred, but if it's easier, on the rare occasion cash on the day is excepted. This would of be discussed at the rehearsal or booking stage.

DO I NEED TO WASH MY HAIR BEFORE YOU ARRIVE?

For all Bridal party styling, if it's something you feel you have to do then that's fine. Becks uses a really good product that helps to work with clean hair so don't worry. If you are having a blowdry or a roller set then washing and leaving your hair to dry naturally on the morning would be best.

CANCELATION POLICY.

You can cancel at anytime, however, the rehearsal cost and the first 50% payment will be non-refunded and kept as compensation for work lost, refer to the Terms & Conditions for more in depth information.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU STYLE ON YOUR OWN?

For vintage party bookings the maximum party size is 8 people, but should some of the party only require basic styling such as victory rolls and not a full roller set, this can go up to 10 people. An additional stylist will be required for larger parties, see below for pricing.

For Bridal parties, the maximum party size is 5 people i can style on my own; example booking: Bride + 4 styling.

Bookings of 5 persons and over require an assistant hair stylist, that Thairapy will provide. A sur charge of £50 is added to the total booking.

thairapy uses a selection of products such as TIGI, BEDHEAD, LEE STAFFORD, TRESEMME, ELNETTE, DAVINES, LOREAL, and KERASILK have been amazing and suited the style of my work. If for any reason you have sensitive skin and find that some of the above mentioned products don't suit you, please let Becks know, as she's happy to use your products, or to use an alternative. thairapy now uses a NEW VEGAN brand called Maria Nila.

IS IT A PROBLEM IF I DON'T HAVE MY VEIL OR HEAD PIECE AT THE REHEARSAL?

No, it's not a problem at all, should you have a picture of yourself wearing it when you tried it on in the shop bring that along and we can build your style around that. But don't worry, many bridal rehearsals are without accessories, it just means on the day it's an even bigger WOW moment when it all comes together.

HAVE YOU WORKED WITH HAIR EXTENSIONS?

Yes, Becks has worked with all hair types, fine, thick, short, long, extensions, afro, wigs, you name it, she's worked with it!  Often the brides/models use clip in extensions to achieve certain looks, as sometimes it's impossible not to to create some styles. If you have glue bond or ring extensions and have preferred products to use for any reason, please bring them with you to your rehearsal.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL ON THE WEDDING DATE?
